In life we have two choices: we can live our life the cheap way and fill our bodies with what we think is food or we can bite the bullet, spend a little more time, make more of an effort, and receive the real food.
Life can be easy if we live the cheap life. Do you ever wonder why the bad things are always right in your face? How is it that you don’t even do drugs but you know exactly where to get them? Do you ever feel the forceful spirit of the feeling urging you that you HAVE TO GO OUT ON THE WEEKENDS? I know I do! These experiences are what I call the fast food of life. Just as we can get a burger with NO nutrients, only cooked to kill, for little to nothing, things that feed us temporarily but kill us spiritually constantly surround us.
In the world there are countless things that will satisfy our mental void but spiritually kill us at the same time. Society and the media portray temporary fixes to our inner cravings. That is the fast food life. It is a life that may seem controlled and happy when in reality, it is internally dead. Going against the grain of the media and the lifestyle that society promotes is difficult. Like natural and organic foods, it will cost a little more and it may make you look little different, but at the end of the day, it will taste so much better. The real food holds all the nutrients that you need to live a long healthy life and it is so much more fulfilling!
